What trees should you have in your garden
As a matter of fact, having trees in the surroundings of your living area is something strongly recommended by the medical experts as well as environmental scientists. It is generally claimed that a single tree of Eucalyptus can release as much the amount of oxygen as required for the respiration of about eleven children. Thus, it becomes very essential to have a good number of trees in your surroundings, especially in your garden. Now the question that what trees should you have in your garden is important and needs to be addressed technically.

The first and the foremost factor you need to consider is the type of soil available in your locality. Generally, if the soil is light textured, shallow and less fertile, you are advised to have needle leaf species in your garden. In case the soil is heavy textured, considerably fertile and deeper, you must go for planting broad leaved plants. The other important factor affecting the choice of species is the climate. In case you are living in an arid climate, you may plant drought tolerant species. However, if you are planning to grow something like that of Eucalyptus in a deserty condition, it would prove useless because this is a water demanding species. Moreover, one should try to prefer fruit species like those of Eugenia jambolana, Mangifera Indica and shade species like those of Azadarichta indica and many others. The shade would specifically serve the purpose of maintaining the temperature in the summer season. Besides, if you are also having some sort of livestock at your farm or home, it would be extremely beneficial to have species like those of Acacia as the leaves of this tree species largely help feeding the livestock.
Therefore, it can be safely concluded that having fruit species and shady trees can be prove beneficial to you both in terms of your health and somewhat in terms of providing you some food. However, the edaphic and the climatic factors should be considered considerably well before making the choice of a species for your home garden as this would prove useful for you.
